I am a Digital Alchemist hailing from Turkey, where my journey into the intricate world of technology began over two decades ago. It started in the year 2000 with my first computer, a machine that felt like an uncharted territory to explore every day with excitement.

By middle school, I was already diving into the depths of Photoshop and video editing, nurturing a passion for the visual and the technical in equal measure. This early curiosity wasn't just about creativity but understanding the mechanics behind the screen.

The Academic Crucible

My path took a fascinating turn toward the History of Sciences. My university years were spent studying the evolution of human thought and discovery, a field where I honed my skills in rigorous research and the pursuit of deeper knowledge.

This academic foundation instilled in me a "researcher" mindset that I carry into my development work today. I don't just look for answers; I seek to understand the history and logic of the tools I use.

I have always viewed development as the modern equivalent of alchemy, not as a collection of static tools, but as a dynamic process of transmuting raw logic and complex engineering into something elegant, intuitive, and valuable. To build software is to follow a chain of thought that mirrors the ancient pursuit of the "Great Work."

In my forge, the "engine" of development follows two immutable principles. First is The Purity of the Process. Just as an alchemist must isolate materials before they can be combined, software must be ruthlessly decoupled. I see the re-writing of existing code as the ultimate impurity, a waste of intellectual energy. By breaking a system down into pure, logical classifications of state and structure, we ensure that every element is a reusable "elemental" building block, ready to be synthesized into any new form without redundancy.

Second is The Unity of the System. Historical alchemy taught that the microcosm reflects the macrocosm; nothing exists in isolation. I reject the modern trend of "walled gardens," software silos designed to hoard data and trap users within digital islands. My philosophy is rooted in the open-source ethos: software should be engineered to flow, communicate, and integrate seamlessly within the broader digital universe.

We live in an age of Holistic Fragmentation. While we must break our builds into granular pieces to achieve precision, our outcomes must always incline toward the holistic. This approach is increasingly what the world demands, systems like headless CMSs or standardized APIs that favor interoperability over isolation.

Even when existing tools make total unification feel impossible, the philosophy remains the goal, to build software that acts not as a cage, but as a bridge to the broader macrocosm of human knowledge.

The Craft of the Forge

I offer a unique blend of IT Wizardry and Digital Stewardship. My work is focused on architecting robust systems that stand the test of time, much like the structural integrity of the metals that inspire my design.

Web Architecture & Design

I craft visually stunning, highly performant web experiences using Next.js and Tailwind CSS. By mapping custom OKLCH theme variables to the shadcn/ui schema, I create design systems that are not only beautiful but also mathematically consistent and easy for both humans and AI agents to work with.

IT Support & System Mastery

Beyond the frontend, I possess a deep understanding of the "machinery" below. My experience as an IT Support Specialist for large-scale manufacturers has given me the expertise to handle server management, digital administration, and complex technical troubleshooting.

Whether it's web scraping for data analysis, managing secure hosting environments, or integrating CMS to deliver professional editing experiences, I ensure that every digital "alloy" I create is stable, secure, and intuitive for the end-user.

I am currently focused on a Unification Project, leveraging APIs to aggregate personal media data into a centralized, custom-built vault.

Behind the Design

I read many classical books in my childhood, but The Alchemistwas one of the few that truly stuck with me—so much so that chemistry and geometry became my favorite subjects leading up to university. As a history of sciences enthusiast, I've always fascinated by the roles that minerals, metals, and gems play across different disciplines.

As a passionate RPG enjoyer, this connection brought extra joy, as these exact "materials" often form the core elements of gaming worlds. While exploring color palettes in Adobe, I asked myself: "Why not build a design system based on these materials?"

Then, I noticed how Tailwind CSS handles color transformations mathematically on the client. Diving deeper into modern color theory, I migrated the entire system to the OKLCH color space. The result is a palette where every hue feels perceptually balanced and deeply integrated into the theme, covering the full spectrum of the color wheel while maintaining visual harmony.

The Turning Wheels

The technical architecture of this site went through its own evolution. Today, the site runs on Next.js, which provides the agility and seamless integration capabilities I need. I pair it with Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui. Adapting my custom OKLCH theme variables to the shadcn schema has been a game-changer, especially for allowing AI agents to modify and write components with strict consistency.

Instead of building a rigid internal content management system, I opted for Sanity CMS, a headless platform. Utilizing a decoupled, professional CMS allows me to practice delivering intuitive, secure, and time-efficient editing experiences—keeping the core code safe from accidental "fiddling."

Open Source & The Unification Project

Knowledge is a universal commodity that gains value only when it is shared. I try my best to lean toward open-sourcetechnologies because I believe the "Great Work" of digital progress is a collaborative effort. By building on these platforms, I am standing on the shoulders of giants, aiming to contribute back to that collective wisdom.

Currently, I am working on a personal Unification Project to aggregate my various media hobbies into a centralized, custom database—leveraging the Trakt.tv API and TMDB. My goal is to build environments that are sustainable, performant, and accessible, where the complexity of the machine remains hidden, leaving the user with an experience as clear as a well-cut gemstone.
